Dr. Escoto founded Nevada TMJ Institute as a way to correctly diagnose and treat patients who were suffering from facial, cervical, and head pain associated with Temporomandibular Joint Disorder. He was inspired to open Nevada TMJ Institute when he found that many of his dental patients had recurring pain that had been previously misdiagnosed. He successfully sought to provide industry standards for TMJ disorders.Dr. Escoto has trained with some of the foremost experts in the world in the diagnosis and treatment of TMJ therapy. He has thousands of hours in continuing education. At Nevada TMJ Institute, Dr. Escoto is able to offer the latest technology in TMJ Treatments such as splint /orthotic therapy. The facility is equipped with the most current Bioinstrumentation and imaging equipment available to facilitate differential diagnosis and help ensure early detection. Dr. Escoto is frequently credited by his peers as an expert in the field of TMJ diagnosis and treatment.

A graduate of University of Nevada at Reno, Dr. Escoto received his DDS degree from The University of the Pacific in California. He obtained his Fellowship in the International College of Cranio- Mandibular Orthopedics and is a Diplomate at the American Academy of pain management. He is founder with Diplomate status in the College of Forensic Orthopedics. Dr. Escoto attained the distinguished credential of
Mastership at the International College of Cranio- Mandibular Orthopedics (ICCMO) In Vicenza, Italy. He wrote his thesis in order to achieve his Mastership for ICCMO, Implementation of Botulinum Toxin A in conjunction with Neuromuscular Splint Therapy to reduce Clenching Cycle and Muscle Spasticity. In doing so he helped Established the criteria for use of Botox in dentistry with the Nevada State Board Of Dental Examiners.
Dr. Escoto is a member in good standing of several dental associations, including The Nevada Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Escoto is active in a variety of local charities. He currently provides donated dental services to kids affiliated with Boys Town of Las Vegas, and is a board member. He has performed free dental services for Donated Dental Services, participated with Wednesday’s Child and the Huntridge Teen Clinic. He has also established Gift of A Beautiful Smile, a foundation that provides dental services to kids in need.
